Meeting scheduled to discuss future of Sligo Airport



A meeting involving all key stakeholders at Sligo Airport, the Minister of Communications Eamon Ryan, minister for State at the Department of Transport, Hildegarde Naughton and department officials has been scheduled to take place over the coming days.

it’s been almost a decade since the airport received government funding as it is a private company.

Deputy Harkin recently raised the future of the coastguard base at the Airport with Minister Naughton in the Dáil

Sligo Leitrim TD and Minister for state at the Department of health Frank Feighan confirmed the news of the meeting to Ocean FM.

He says the future of the airport is a concern.
