Local schools granted funding under Summer Works Scheme



Four Sligo Schools are set to benefit to the sum of 495,000 euro under the 2021 Summer Works Scheme to fix problems like roofs, alarms and windows.

 

31 million euro is being set aside for improvements to schools nationwide.

 

Upgrades of toilets will also be available through the initiative.

 

Schools in Strandhill, Culfadda, Ballintoger and Mercy National School will all receive funding.

 

Schools in Sligo and Leitrim are also to benefit from the funding.

 

Minister for state and Sligo Leitrim TD, Frank Feighan says the funding will help schools improve their facilities
