Level 3 restrictions introduced nationwide



Level 3 Covid-19 restrictions are now in place right across the north west for three weeks.

 

Sligo, Leitrim and the rest of the Country joined Donegal and Dublin at Midnight on the level 3 restrictions provided in the living with Covid-19 frame work document.

 

People are asked not to travel outside their county, and eating insides restaurants and cafes are banned.

 

Last night, Tanaiste Leo Varadkar told the Fine Gael Parliamentary party that a short ‘circuit-break’ lockdown, like was proposed by NPHET at the weekend, is being considered.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre have confirmed that there has been one additional death from Covid-19.

 

432 new cases were reported nationally while an additional 51 new cases were reported in Donegal.  33 cases first reported on Monday were also allocated to Donegal’s figure yesterday.

 

14 cases were allocated to Sligo’s figure.
