High number of virus cases in border regions a concern in Donegal



The high number of coronavirus cases in the border region remains a major concern in County Donegal.

Meanwhile, the North’s First and Deputy First Ministers say the number of Covid cases in Derry and Strabane have reached a level which requires more stringent restrictions.

Arlene Foster and Michelle O’Neill have written an open letter to people in the area, in which they say new restrictions will be tough but necessary to reduce the spread of the virus.

In Donegal, Dr Martin Coyne, based in Lifford, he says he faces a tsunami of cases in his practice and is angry people are not following health guidelines:
