Visiting restrictions to households necessary to halt spread of Covid-19



The number of Covid-19 cases in the north west has increased again.

 

The latest figures published by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, confirmed that there was one additional death from Covid-19.  There 470 new cases nationally.

 

There were 36 new cases in Donegal, 28 cases first reported on Thursday were also allocated to Donegal yesterday. Two additional cases were also allocated to Sligo and Leitrim.

 

The acting Chief Medical Officer’s appealing for people to only meet up with those from one other household to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

 

Dr Ronan Glynn says the rising number of cases nationally is now a “matter of serious concern”.
