Irish Government still hopeful of a Brexit Deal

The Irish government says it’s still possible for the UK to do a trade deal with the European Union, despite last night’s events.

Boris Johnson says the Internal Market Bill is an insurance measure that will only be used if there’s no agreement. The debating of the Internal Bill is being watched with great interest by many businesses in the north west and border region in particular.

Minister of State for European Affairs, Thomas Byrne, says he’s still optimistic of a deal.
