People across the north west asked to ‘redouble’ efforts fighting Covid-19

People across the north west are being asked to ‘redouble’ their efforts fighting Covid-19

A joint statement by the Gardaí, HSE and the County Councils of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal says the transmission rate is low and we need to keep it that way.

There has been a large increase in visitors to the region and has brought a sense of normality to people.

However, people are asked to ‘call out’ bad behaviour in a positive way, while businesses are asked to take measures to ensure the safety of their staff and customers.

Concerns, however, have been raised over the increase in apparent house parties and people are asked to follow all guidelines.
