The first count in Sligo Leitrim is not expected until 9pm tonight.
Early indications are pointing to Martin Kenny being elected on that count.
Tally figures taken so far today are very muck keeping in line with the Exit Poll, which was conducted by IT Sligo and OceanFM yesterday.
By 10:40am, 36 of the 209 ballot boxed have been opened in the Count Centre in the Sligo Park Hotel.
