NW Restaurant Association representative agrees with minimum wage increase

The north west representative of The Restaurant Association of Ireland is welcoming proposals to increase the minimum wage.

The Low Pay Commission has recommend an increase of 30 cents, which would bring the minimum wage to 10 euro 10 cents.

Local restaurant owner Anthony Gray says he disagrees with the head of The Restaurant Association of Ireland who said that it would be a huge blow to the hospitality industry.

Mr Gray says ultimately the cost will have to be passed on to the consumer.
