Concern over safety at junction for Ballymote on N17

Concern is being voiced about safety at a junction on the Collooney-Tubbercurry N17 road in County Sligo, which is used by more than 50,000 vehicles every week.

It’s at the junction for Ballymote, at Annaghmore, known locally as Clarke’s Bridge.

Fine Gael Councillor Dara Mulvey is calling for new road markings be put down at the junction, enabling traffic travelling from Collooney toward the junction to pull in sooner to the side of the road, allowing increased visibility for those coming onto the N17 from Ballymote.
