Mercosur deal slammed by IFA President



The fall out is still continuing this week in farming circles over the intention of the European Commission doing a trade deal with South America which would lead to the possibility of the beef market in Europe and indeed here in Ireland being flooded with South American Beef.

The IFA have accused the Commission has no credibility if they want to pursue a trade deal with a Mercosur group that has no regard for standards, the environment and labour laws.

Speaking to the Ocean FM Farm Desk, IFA President Joe Healy says the deal is wrong and dangerous for a number of different reasons
