Decision expected shortly on Colloney Greenway funding

An appeal has been made to all local and European election candidates to prioritise the securing of funding for the construction of a new Greenway network on the old disused railway running between Colloney and Bellaghy.

The appeals have been made by the Sligo Greenway Co-op.

Speaking earlier to Ocean FM news, Pat Mc Carrick the chairman of the Sligo Greenway Co-op called for the project to be allocated part of a national fund of 53 million euro to establish the greenway which would help forge connections between north and south Sligo.
