A new candidate has declared her intention to run for the Green Party in the local elections in Sligo in May.
Miranda O’ Donnell. who is originally from California, will be seeking a seat in the Sligo/Strandhill electoral area.
She is now living in the Templeboy area and became an Irish citizen in 2016.
Ms O’ Donnell says if elected, she will be urging the public to be more proactive when it comes to recycling plastics and their general waste.
