Sligo bus network requires serious upgrade

The bus network in Sligo and its associated infrastructure are in serious need of upgrade.

That’s according to Sligo – Strandhill local election candidate Blaine Gaffney.

Mr Gaffney has called on Sligo County Council, Bus Eireann and the NTA to start implementing the necessary changes.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, the Fine Gael local election candidate outlined how the National Transport Authority have confirmed that 59 out of 73 bus stops in the County are in a very poor condition and this according to Mr Gaffney, highlights the lack of investment in the Sligo transport service over the last number of years.
