A Leitrim councillor has claimed that a drop in the birth rate in Drumkeerin, Co Leitrim, has been given as the reason why public health nurse hours have been reduced in the area.
Fianna Fáil Councillor and local election candidate Mary Bohan has called on HSE to restore the hours at a recent meeting of Leitrim County Council.
However, she says the HSE told her the hours are not cut.
Cllr Bohan outlined her concerns to Ocean FM News.
