A local road in South Sligo has been closed following the collapse of bridge along the route.
The section of road which is called the LP44030 is located in the Achonry area and will be closed for a period of around 6 weeks while the bridge is being repaired.
Sligo County Council say the closure will apply from the junction of the route with the N17 at Tawnavoultry and also at the junction of the R294 at Powellsbrough Crossroads.
There is an alternative route for Sligo bound traffic via the R294 to Tubbercurry and onto the N17 towards Sligo and vice versa.
