Hundreds of people gathered in Maugherow in North Sligo yesterday as part of their campaign to keep post office services in their area.
They came together outside Dunleavy’s shop in Maugherow, where they want the post office to be located
The local post office in Ballinfull closed last month.
Yesterday’s gathering was a festive community event, with some of those present dressed up as famous people associated with the area, such as W B Yeats.
Local woman Orna McSweeney is one of the campaigners who was at yesterday’s gathering.
