€10,000 worth of cable cut from poles in Sligo town



Arrests are expected to take place soon following the theft of cable from poles on the outskirts of Sligo town.

It occurred last Friday night when cable valued at about €10,000 was cut down.

Gardai later found cable in a van.

Sligo/Leitrim Garda Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Jim Fox said there had been a lull for a while in this type of crime.
