The Chief Fire Officer in Sligo says a significant amount of damage was caused following a major fire in Sligo town on Friday.
The fire in McGarrigle’s pub in Sligo town was reported just before lunchtime.
Chief Fire Officer Gerry O’Malley says it was a significant blaze but thankfully no one was injured.
He says significant damage was done to the building including the roof, part of which they had to remove to ensure the fire was completely out:
