A business in Ballymote says reports of illness as a result of the bacterial contamination of the local water supply are concerning.
It’s after the boil water notice on the Lough Talt supply in south and west Sligo was extended for another four weeks.
The HSE confirmed on Friday evening that they’re investigating reports of ‘cryptosporidiosis’ in the community.
However, the source of the transmission is still unclear.
