A North West TD is to move legisalation this week calling for more restrictions on forestry plantations.
There are ongoing concerns that big companies are planting large areas in Leitrim.
Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny is to bring legislation to the Dail this week calling for environmental impact assessments to be mandatory on any plantations over 10 hectares.
