Almost €1.5m has been announced in Local Improvement Scheme allocations for roads in the north west.
The money will go toward work on small, private roads and laneways in rural areas which are used by a number of households, farmers or businesses.
Donegal is to get €884,000, Leitrim €250,000 and Sligo €282,000.
Sligo/Leitrim Fine Gael Deputy Tony McLoughlin says it’s now up to local authorities to get their applications in.
