A Donegal county councillor is hoping that money might be available under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme to repair Ballyshannon’s Town Clock.
At the end of last month, the area around the Town Clock was sealed off after material fell from the building.
The condition of the clock and its building has been an issue for some time, having been raised by various councillors at meetings over the years.
Now, it’s to be discussed again this Tuesday at a meeting of Donegal Municipal District.
Fianna Fail Councillor Micheal Naughton is seeking the up-top-date position in relation to the repair of the historic clock and building.
He says it’s an inconic landmark in Ballyshannon:
