The Bishop of Kilmore, Leo O Reilly, has announced a number of changes among priests in the diocese, which covers parts of counties Leitrim and Sligo and most of County Cavan.
Fr Tom Mannion, curate in Glencar, Co Leitrim, and chaplain to Our Lady’s Hospital in Manorhamilton, is to be parish priest in Ballinaglera, Co Leitrim.
Fr Mannion’s roles in Glencar and in the hospital in Manorhamilton will be taken over by Fr Sean Maguire, who has been curate in Butlersbridge, Co Cavan.
Fr Gerard Alwill, parish priest in Drumkeerin, is to be parish priest in Derrylinn while Fr Tom McManus will replace him in Drumkeerin,
Fr Maurice McMorrow, parish priest in Ballinaglera, is to be parish priest in Kinawley/Killesher, which spans Cavan and Fermanagh.
The changes take effect from September 1st.
