FF coalition with Sinn Fein: MacSharry says it’s the voters who will decide



A Sligo/Leitrim Fianna Fail TD says the decision of whether or not his party would go into coalition with Sinn Fein at some time in the future is ultimately a decision the people will make by how they vote.

But Deputy Marc MacSharry says he does not believe Fianna Fail should narrow any option by dictating what will occur after an election.

He was speaking to Ocean FM News following comments at the weekend by a group of Fianna Fail TDs that the party should be open to coalition with Sinn Fein.

However, there are also a significant number of TDs strongly opposed to such a move.

Party Leader Michael Martin’s stand is that he will not enter power with Sinn Fein.

But Deputy MacSharry clearly takes a more flexible position that his party leader:
