Two of South Donegal’s most popular festivals have received three thousand euro each in funding from the Department of Arts, Heritage and Rural Affairs.
A total of six thousand euro in funding will go towards the Ballyshannon Folk and Traditional Music Festival and the Micheál Ó Cleirigh Summer School, which takes place in Rossnowlagh.
The funding has been provided through the department’s Small Local Festival and Summer School Fund.
The funding comes as a timely boost for the Ballyshannon event, now in its 40th year, which gets underway on Friday next.
