Public meeting this evening to discuss planned changes to school bus schemes in Bunninaden and Killavil



Parents in Bunninaden and Killavil in county Sligo will meet this evening to discuss planned changes to the local school bus scheme.

The issue was highlighted by Fianna Fail Deputy Eamon Scanlon in the Dail last week and Sinn Fein Deputy Martin Kenny also raised the same problem affecting pupils in Gortletteragh in Leitrim.

There are calls for the school transport scheme to be modernised to reflect the changes to schools which in many areas have merged.

Fianna Fail Councillor in south Sligo Keith Henry is attending tonight’s meeting in the community centre in Bunninaden and he has outlined to Ocean FM News the impact the proposals will have locally:
