Sligo Rovers appoint U15 management team



Sligo Rovers are delighted to announce their management team for the club’s under-15 side in anticipation of the national under-15 league commencing next August.

Conor O’Grady, Marcel Gordon and Paul Masterson have been appointed to the role.

First team manager Dave Robertson said he was absolutely delighted that this trio have agreed to take on the role with their experience of coaching at this level.

All three have been involved with Sligo-Leitrim emerging talent squads over the last number of years culminating with the 2016 Kennedy Cup squad. The trio are currently managing the Sligo-Leitrim under-15 squad, a role they will see out for the remainder of the season.

O’Grady is an ex-Rovers player who has had an illustrious career in the league of Ireland over 17 seasons. For the last three years he has coached with Sligo-Leitrim Emerging Talent squads as well as a spell with Castlebar Celtic Women’s team and Ballinamallard Unted first team.

Gordon has coached at various age groups with Strand Celtic. He has been involved with Sligo-Leitrim Emerging Talent since 2010 and ended the current season as coach to the Sligo Rovers u-19 team. He was head coach of the 2016 Kennedy cup squad.

After spending ten years playing in the Leinster Senior League, Paul Masterson moved to Sligo in 2003. He has played and coached with a number of clubs on the Sligo-Leitrim league including MCR and Carbury. Paul is currently a staff member of the Ireland Schoolboys side.
