There are fears that money which was sanctioned for work at a notorious junction in south Sligo may be spent on other projects.
The Killaraght junction had been successful in getting funding under a low cost accident scheme but no far no works have started there yet.
Local Cllr Paul Taylor says there are a lot of families who need to cross this road on a daily basis and the community are seeking some urgent safety measures to be installed there.
However, Cllr Taylor says its looking more money will be needed for the work and it could be a case of going back to the drawing board:
