Over 150,000 euro of funding has been allocated to the Leitrim village of Ballinaglera in response to flooding on the stoney River which caused significant damage to roads, infrastructure and bridges earlier this year.
The funding was provided under three different separate applications which were submitted by Leitrim County Council.
Local Councillor Enda McGloin says the funding will be used to repair the damage caused by the floods and to ensure that a repeat of the flooding does not happen again.
