HSE issues update on local services as efforts continue to reopen IT systems after cyber attack

Efforts are continuing to try to reopen the HSE’s IT system following last week’s cyber-attack,

Meanwhile, in a statement this (Monday) evening from the Community Health Organisation area covering Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan and Monaghan, the HSE pointed out that all of COVID-19 testing sites are open as usual this week.

Anyone with symptoms of Covid 19 should phone their GP or GP-Out-of-Hours service, which may advise going to the nearest Testing Centre.

Those who have a GP referral or have been contacted by Contact Tracing and advised to go to a Covid 19 Test Centre can attend without an appointment.

People can also attend the Testing Centre as a Walk-in without an appointment if they live in the same area as the Walk in Test Centre and have not tested positive in the last 6 months.

People should check opening and closing times of your nearest Testing Centre on the hse website www.hse.ie <http://www.hse.ie/>

The Sligo Testing site is open at Finisklin Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm.

Leitrim Testing site is open at Carrick on Shannon Primary Care Centre Monday to Friday 2pm to 4pm.

Vaccination clinics are continuing as scheduled while all Community Health Service appointments will continue as scheduled unless people are contacted directly.

Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim Audiology/ Hearing Service appointments for children are cancelled for this week.

For information on adult audiology appointments, people should ring Donegal 074 91 89562 or Sligo 071 91 62647 to check if their appointment is proceeding.

The HSE says it will also be contacting local media, including Ocean FM, with any public notices and updates; these are also available on the HSE’s Twitter handle     @HSECommHealth1
