Personal Injuries Guidelines may not reduce insurance premiums



A Sligo/ Leitrim TD has questioned the impact that the new Personal Injuries Guidelines will have on reducing insurance premiums.

 

 

The guidelines will reduce the amount which will be awarded for most categories of personal injuries and will be used by both the Personal Injuries Assessment Board and the courts to assess compensation in such claims.

 

The Government say motor insurance premiums will start coming down from mid-summer as a result of the change.
