Drive2Survive initiative travelling to highlight problems in tourism industry

A convoy made up of members from the Western Chauffeur Drive Association is currently travelling along the Wild Atlantic Way, and is set to reach Donegal this weekend.

Day 3 of the #Drive2Survive initiative is intended to highlight the problems the industry is currently facing, with drivers hit hard in the absence of live music, pubs, and tourists.

The convoy is expected in Drumcliffe at 11am this morning and will then head onto Donegal Town for 2pm, with local business owners urged to come out and lend their support.

Shane Furey of Sligo Coaches tells OceanFM News this morning, that supports are needed from the government to ensure businesses that rely on tourism are there when international travellers return.
