Loss of Rory Gallagher festival will impact Ballyshannon



The decision not to run the 2020 Rory Gallagher International tribute festival will be a major blow to the local economy of Ballyshannon.

That’s according to a local Councillor who says the right decision was taken in relation to Covid-19 concerns, local businesses will feel the effect of the void which will be left without the hugely popular event being this summer.

Donegal MD Cllr Barry Sweeney says the government support schemes for small businesses will take on even greater significance for the town’s small businesses:

 

 

Cllr Sweeney is urging all businesses in Ballyshannon to explore what support packages are in place designed to help them to continuing trading post Covid-19
