Questions need to be answered on how car used in Lunney abduction was accidentally burned



A Sligo Leitrim TD has called a full explanation to be issued by the Gardai as to how a vehicle recovered in the investigation into the alleged abduction of Quinn Industrial Holdings director Kevin Lunney was “burned, apparently accidentally” while it was being held in evidence by Gardaí.

 

Four people have been charged with false imprisonment and assault causing serious harm to Mr Lunney in Co Cavan on 17th of September 2019.   It was confirmed at their trial this week that a car seized by Gardaí may have been “accidentally burned”.
