A local Councillor has called on the Minister of health and the Chief Medical Officer to provide clarity on whether or not various community festivals and agricultural shows can proceed in 2020.
Manorhamilton Municipal District Councillor Seán McDermott (FG) says that a vast amount of time and planning goes into organising community festivals and Agricultural shows.
He says a final decision on the future of such events needs to be taken now to provide clarity for all concerned:
