The lack of suitable office and work space are the biggest factors discouraging new businesses to set up in north Leitrim.
That’s according to Fine Gael Councillor and local candidate Sean McDermott who says that there is a lack of this work space available in the north of the County.
With the prospect unlikely of large employers re-locating and creating jobs in the local area, Mr McDermott says more needs to be done to encourage small and medium enterprises to establish their bases in the towns and villages of north Leitrim.
