Peter Casey says he’ll setup a ‘New Fianna Fail’ if Fianna Fail don’t want him

Presidential runner up, Peter Casey says that if Fianna Fail won’t have him, then he’ll setup a ‘New Fianna Fail’.

Mr. Casey said over the weekend that he intends to join Fianna Fail and run as a candidate for Donegal in the next general election.

This was quickly stamped out by Micheál Martin who said he lacks a ‘coherent or cohesive” political vision while Peter Casey said that the Fianna Fail leader was ‘too nice to take on Leo Varadkar”.

He had a strong showing in the Presidential Election receiving 342,727 votes or 23.25% of the overall vote with Co. Donegal giving him 32.8% of first preference votes which is the 5th highest in the country.

Mr. Casey further stated, ‘I he will definitely top the poll when I stand in Donegal’.
