A Sligo Councillor is hoping the now internationally acclaimed film director Martin McDonagh will consider filming one of his next movies in Sligo.
Sinn Fein’s Chris McManus is calling for the Council to recognise McDonagh’s achievements as a man with very close west Sligo connections.
His mother Mary McDonagh is from Easkey in west Sligo and just today she issued a letter on behalf of her son thanking the community there for erecting billboards in support of his film.
