The Tanaiste says the commitment to invest in infrastructure in the North West means Sligo is on its way to ‘fulfilling’ its economic potential.
Earlier this week, there was a huge boost for the town and region when Abbvie a medtech company in Sligo announced it’s to create 100 new jobs at its plant in Ballytivnan.
While an allocation of €11m was announced for the development of the Western Distributor Road in Sligo.
Speaking in the Dail yesterday, Simon Coveney said this week’s announcements are only the beginning of a positive phase of development for the region:
