Cycling safety awareness campaign is underway



An awareness campaign is underway for motorists.

 

“Staying Alive At 1.5m” is a cycling safety awareness campign for drivers to keep at least a 1.5 metre distance from cyclists when over taking.

 
10 people have already died this year while riding a bike.

Car stickers are available at The Innisfree Wheelers Club and from Monday the 4th of September, they can also be gotten from City Hall and County Hall.

 
Councillor Marie Casserly, has been involved with the campaign for the last three years.
