The criminals create fake social media accounts in his name, making bogus requests for charity donations and attempting to sell fake tickets.
The problem has been highlighted in the latest edition of the singer’s fan club magazine.
It warns readers, many of whom are elderly, to ignore the rocketing number of fake requests.
