Leitrim’s women’s gaelic footballers were comprehensive 7-20 to 2-14 winners of Longford in Sunday’s Lidl national football league Division 4 game at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
There were just two points between the team at half-time with Leitrim leading 1-8 to 0-9.
However, Jonny Garrity’s side turned on the style in the second half, scoring another six goals to run out emphatic winners.
Leitrim were already assured of a league semi-final place prior to Sunday’s game.
