A Leitrim Councillor is warning of the economic damage that is being done as a result of the condition of one of the county’s main roads that links the North to the South of the county
The surface on the R280 between Lennox’s Bridge and Carrick-on-Shannon has been compared to that of a a patchwork blanket by the Cathaoirleach of the Local Authority.
Cllr Justin Warnock says sections of the road that are of a good standard while other sections are what he calls as substandard.
The Fianna Fail Councillor says the R280 is of paramount importance for the economic development of Leitrim.
