Meeting to be held regarding trees in Grange park

Concerns have been raised over the dangers posed by the trees in Grange park.

The sitka spruce trees that are currently planted there are a potential risk to homeowners near the park, as they could cause damage in stormy weather because of their location.

The roots are also beginning to bulge through the park path, which has become a trip hazard.

A meeting will be held on Monday, January 15th at 8.30 in Grange Hall, where people can raise any issues they have on the matter.

Local Fianna Fáil Councillor, Donal Gilroy, says safety has to be the priority.
