Sligo Grammar draw with Marist in junior league final



Sligo Grammar School drew 12-12 with Marist College of Athlone in Wednesday’s Connacht schools junior ‘A’ league final, played at Creggs Rugby Club in Roscommon.

Grammar tries from Alastair Houston in the first half, and Ronan Mullan in the second, helped earn the Sligo school a share of the spoils.

Sligo Grammar were bidding to win their third junior league title in a row.

The tie now goes to a replay.

Sligo Grammar head coach Simon Galvin spoke to Niall Canning after the game.
