Local councillor says Sligo homeowners impacted by Pyrite will be able to apply to redress fund in new year



Home owners in Sligo impacted by pyrite will be able to apply for funding from the defective blocks redress scheme from January of next year.

 

 

Sligo Drumcliff Independent Councillor Marie Casserly says she has received confirmation that the Housing Agency has confirmed its investigations and consultations in relation to Sligo have been completed.

 

A report including a recommendation to the Minister for Housing, Darragh O Brien that Sligo  be included is currently under draft.

 

 

It is envisaged the report will be completed in January 2024.

 

 

Speaking to Ocean FM The Independent Councillor Marie says from January impacted home owners in Sligo will be able to start lodging their applications for redress from early 2024.
