Further weather warning issued by Met Eireann



The North West Region can expect cold conditions over the coming days.

 

Commuters using the regions roads this morning are being urged to slow down with secondary roads still being described as dangerous in places.

 

 

Much of the country has been hit with frost and ice with a nationwide status yellow low temperature and ice warning in place until midday.

 

 

A second alert will take effect at 5 o’clock this evening.

 

The waring is forecasting widespread frost and icy conditions along with Fog and freezing fog.

 

This evening’s warning which includes the counties of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal will come into effect at  5 p.m. will last until 12 p.m. on Saturday.
