Leitrim For All group established in response to events in Dromahair



A representative for the ‘Leitrim For All’ group is calling for greater inclusion and support of asylum seekers and refugees who are living in or wish to move to Leitrim.

 

Leitrim For All is a coalition of individuals and organisations committed to ensuring a warm and secure reception for new arrivals to the county.

 

They say they aim to champion inclusivity, understanding, and collaboration to establish an environment where diversity is not just acknowledged but celebrated in the county

In an open Letter they are calling for a warm welcome to be extended to all those looking to make Leitrim home.

 

Adam O Ceallaigh is spokesperson for the group.  He says they decided to form their group after the events which took place in Dromahair last week.

 

He says the events that took place in the north Leitrim village does not represent the feelings of the vast majority of Leitrim people.
