Fears that Collooney Primary Care Centre will get left behind

Sligo County Council will write to the HSE to ask for the Primary Care Centre in Collooney to be upgraded.

A number of primary care centres across Sligo, such as Drumcliffe and Grange, have seen significant work carried out in recent times, and are now operating at a higher standard with much better facilities.

Currently, there are three GPs working out of the primary care centre in Collooney, serving the village and surrounding areas.

With a big population increase expected in Collooney in the coming years, Fine Gael councillor Thomas Walsh says it’s important that the local centre isn’t left behind.
